Dear Colleagues,

"International Breast Cancer Symposium", which is the tenth of the Scientific Meetings of the University of Health Sciences Turkey İzmir Faculty of Medicine, will be held online between 8-9 October 2021. The presentation language of our symposium is Turkish and English, and simultaneous translation will be available in both languages.

It is known that breast cancer is one of the most crucial health problems both in our country and around the world. In diagnosis and treatment; it requires a multidisciplinary approach that includes the branches of general surgery, radiology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, and pathology. In this symposium, we will discuss the current practices and the innovations in breast cancer with the professors from Turkey and the world who have worked on breast cancer and who are highly experienced.

Breast cancer diagnosis and treatment processes will be discussed in all aspects in our two-day symposium. On the first day, first session of the oral presentations will be taking place, following the presentations about early diagnosis in breast cancer, early treatments, screening, clinical approach to breast lesions, incidence and morality in breast cancer. On the second day second and third sessions for oral presentations will take place early in the day and late on discussion related to molecular developments in breast cancer and their role in treatment, early and local advanced breast cancer management and approaches to metastatic breast cancer will be made. In addition, with our national and international surgeons experienced in oncoplastic breast surgery, ways to achieve better cosmetic results will be sought. In the oral presentation sessions, works evaluated and accepted by the jury among the presentations sent from local and international researchers will be presented. Thus we will have the opportunity to see results of breast cancer patients from both our country and the world. The scientific value of our symposium will enhance with your participation.

I invite all our colleagues to our symposium to carry out our scientific studies as well as our fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, to reach the latest information on breast cancer and surgery, and wish the pandemic to end as soon as possible and to meet at FACE to FACE symposiums.

 All sessions will be simultaneously translated

to English from Turkish and to Turkish from English.
